Crosswhite Fashions Shutout Against Fisher Cats
It wasn't easy but the Reading Fightin Phils made it look that way.

Starter Phil Crosswhite shut out the New Hampshire Fisher Cats despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Reading Fightin Phils cruised to victory, 4-0. Crosswhite allowed only 7 hits and rang up 8 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

Crosswhite has fashioned a 8-8 mark for the season, 3.13 ERA and thrown 95 innings in 8 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .264 against him.
