Binghamton beat Altoona at NYSEG Stadium, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to center fielder Chris Miller. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. The Mets saw their record improve to 55-40.

Had Brian Reed not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Reed hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Mets.

"We found a way to get it done," Reed said.
