Starting pitcher Marcelino Ramires took care of business, helping the Altoona Curve stifle the Trenton Thunder, 6-0. Picking up his 2nd save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Shawn Margulies. The Curve saw their record improve to 56-40.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Bobby Lopez? The Altoona third baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Curve on top, 1-0. For the game, Lopez had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Altoona skipper Gerardo Zarco.
