Richmond Beats Binghamton, 5-2
|
Richmond Flying Squirrels starter Mark Pellicano pitched well against the Binghamton Mets at The Diamond, leading his team to a win, 5-2. Pellicano got the win, improving to 7-11. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The 5th-place Flying Squirrels sport a record of 41-55.
Richmond took a 5-2 lead on Steve Brown's 3rd triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Brown hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Binghamton pitcher Randy Owen visibly frustrated.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Pellicano.
