Mets Pick Up 6-1 Win Against Richmond
|
Binghamton and Richmond put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Binghamton Mets dealt the Richmond Flying Squirrels a 6-1 loss at The Diamond. David Holt was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI. Binghamton is now 43-54, while Richmond is 44-52.
Kevin Dye was 1-4 with a walk, while scoring 2 times for Binghamton. The 26-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Robert Valencia. It was his 26th walk of the season.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Holt told the Binghamton Observer.
