SeaWolves Down RubberDucks, 6-4
|
Rob Kindell had a good game, but he could not keep the Akron RubberDucks from falling, 6-4, to the Erie SeaWolves at Canal Park. The Akron center fielder was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in the loss. The SeaWolves are now 57-37, while the RubberDucks fall to 38-58.
Erie used a timely hit from Pablo Franco to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the SeaWolves ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Akron manager Michael Chiquito.
