The Norfolk Tides and Charlotte Knights played an exciting game.

Norfolk registered a win at Harbor Park by beating the Charlotte Knights, 4-2. Pitcher Bobby Richman was one reason why the Tides triumphed. Richman picked up the win for Norfolk, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Joey Averitt earned the save for Norfolk.

An inflection point occurred with no one out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Tides third baseman David Morales hit a fastball from Eric Nowicki for a 2-run single. Just like that, Norfolk was up, 3-2.

"It was a solid team effort," Morales said. "That's usually what it takes to win."

The defeat makes Charlotte 14-13.
