Alfredo Lopez knocked in 4 runs to help Binghamton beat Richmond, 7-6. Lopez produced 1 single and 1 home run. The win was credited to Scott Schimmel in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Justin Gage took the loss. The second-place Mets are 54-44.

Lopez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Justin Gage, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Mets a 7-6 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Lopez.

"We found a way to get it done," Lopez said.
