|
Hartford right-hander Vinny Herrick pitched his team to victory over the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field. The final score was 6-2. In 7.1 innings, Herrick surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Matt Grimes recorded the save, making him 13 for 15.
Gerardo de Leon hit a run-scoring double off Danny Macedo in the top of the second, which put the Yard Goats in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, de Leon had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
