Josh Layne made an impact in the 4-3 Richmond win over New Hampshire. Layne, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in triples with 9, was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Micah Minto finished to wrap up his 7th save. The Flying Squirrels go to 61-39, putting them second in the Northern Division.

Federico Duarte dealt the Fisher Cats a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Richmond leading 2-0, Duarte hit a first pitch splitter for a 2-run single.
