Though the conditions were not ideal, the Altoona Curve and Bowie Baysox came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Altoona Curve topped the Bowie Baysox, 6-3, in Eastern League action at People's Natural Gas Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Altoona pitcher Chris Lemieux. Lemieux got the win, improving to 11-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 3 runs.

In the bottom of the sixth, Bobby Russell delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Altoona third baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Curve in front, 6-3.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Russell told the Altoona Citizen.

Altoona is now 63-35, while Bowie is 42-57.
