New Hampshire Beats Portland, 5-2
|
New Hampshire pitcher Josue Toala did his part in helping his team beat the Portland Sea Dogs, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. New Hampshire, at 62-39, occupies first place in the Northern Division.
New Hampshire needed the clutch hitting of Brian Burton to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fisher Cats on top, 5-0. For the game, Burton had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"What we get, we earn," Toala told the New Hampshire News.
