Curve Held in Check by SeaWolves, Lose, 5-1
|
Stuart Parker had an impact in the 5-1 Erie win over Altoona. The 23-year old shortstop was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. At 59-40, Erie is in second place in the Southern Division.
It could have been a different outcome for Erie, had it not been for Steve Bruno, the 24-year old center fielder . Bruno contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Erie up, 2-0.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Parker told the Erie Gazette.
