The Reading Fightin Phils defeated the Akron RubberDucks, 4-3, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Ricky Bermea was a standout performer for Reading. His 3 hits included 1 single and 2 doubles -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 2 he knocked in. The loss drops Akron to 1-8.

Vinny Bezanson dealt the RubberDucks a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Reading leading 3-2, Bezanson hit a 1-2 splitter for a run-scoring single.
