New Hampshire beat Portland on the strength of starter Ming-hoa Sha's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Chris Nieves earned his 22nd save in 26 chances. Portland's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Julio Correa, the 28-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Correa contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put New Hampshire up, 2-0.

After the game, New Hampshire manager Eric Schwieger applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
