Mets Top Harrisburg, 2-1
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Binghamton Mets and the Harrisburg Senators, Danny Bustos was the difference-maker. The Binghamton left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Bustos went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-5. Jay Duncan earned the save for Binghamton, his 1st of the year.
Romeo Zimolo, the 29-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Zimolo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Binghamton up, 1-0.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Tyler Lord.
With the victory, the Mets upped their record to 52-50.
