Hartford starter Jimmy Love kept the New Hampshire hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a win, 11-2. The winning pitcher was Love, now 10-7. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. With the win, Hartford raised its record to 67-37.

Niko Von Meyer had a big run-scoring double for the Yard Goats in the top of the third inning. With Hartford leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jimmy Austin and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 25th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yard Goats ahead, 3-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said New Hampshire manager Wilson Acevedo. "We got trounced."
