With Late Score, Fisher Cats Beat Flying Squirrels
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Richmond Flying Squirrels at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. New Hampshire pitcher Cornelius Cathey held his own in the contest. With the win, the Fisher Cats improved to 51-51.

Had Joey Tolar not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Tolar hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Fisher Cats.

"Cornelius pitched like a champ," said New Hampshire manager Quinn Autrey.
