Flying Squirrels Snatch 3-2 Win from SeaWolves
The Richmond Flying Squirrels beat the Erie SeaWolves, 3-2, in part because of third baseman Lee Carter. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Richmond pitcher Fidel Gonzales earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Jason Harris suffered the loss. Richmond is in first place in the Northern Division with a record of 75-29.

Carter delivered in the clutch for Richmond. In the bottom of the ninth, he took a 1-1 fastball from Erie pitcher Jason Harris and parked it over the fence. The solo home run won it for Richmond.

"Both teams played hard," said Richmond manager Fernando Melendez.
