Thunder Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Fightin Phils, 7-2
The Trenton Thunder knocked off the Reading Fightin Phils, 7-2, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Marcos Sandoval was a big reason Trenton won. The left fielder was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Trenton pitcher Rafael Graham earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Mike Ruiz suffered the loss. Trenton is now 40-65, Reading 43-61.

Trenton took a 7-2 lead on Sandoval's 6th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Mike Ruiz in the top of the eighth, propelled Trenton to the win.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Sandoval.
