The New Hampshire Fisher Cats took Erie pitcher Tom Hitchcock's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The final score had New Hampshire getting past the SeaWolves, 3-1. Hitchcock went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. Their 68-39 record puts the Fisher Cats first in the Northern Division.

The Fisher Cats got a big at-bat from right fielder Nick Stafford. For the game, Stafford went 1-2 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 15th double of the season gave New Hampshire a 1-0 lead.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Stafford.
