The Buffalo-Scranton WB game took longer to complete because of the rain. But it was worth it for the home team in the end.

The Buffalo Bisons beat the Scranton WB RailRiders, 7-6, in 10 innings. Buffalo third baseman Tony Sauceda, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Buffalo reliever Dustin Marks was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Ricky Roy.

The decisive blow was delivered by Nick Slate in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ricky Roy to win the game for Buffalo. The home crowd went nuts.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Sauceda.

The third-place Bisons improved to 16-13.
