Mets Send New Hampshire Home with 3-1 Loss
The Binghamton Mets knocked off the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 3-1, in Eastern League action at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Binghamton pitcher and Long Beach, California, native William Arce had an outstanding performance. Arce picked up the win for Binghamton, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 6-3. Earning his 14th save of the year was Jon Williams.

Binghamton went in front, 3-1, on John Levenson's 14th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Levenson hit in the top of the eighth, left New Hampshire pitcher Antan Channer visibly perturbed.

"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Binghamton manager Terrell Hagans. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."

Binghamton is now 56-52, New Hampshire 67-41.
