The Akron RubberDucks and Bowie Baysox lit up the scoreboard.

Despite a great performance by Bowie right fielder Zach Braunstein, the Akron RubberDucks defeated the Baysox by the score of 10-8 at Canal Park. Braunstein went 4-4 with 2 triples and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Akron reliever Pete McNeely picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Jeff Steward took the loss. Jeremy Bess collected save number 9.

Akron took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Eric Walsh hit a run-scoring single to make it 7-6, RubberDucks.

"They played a better game than we did," said Bowie skipper Seth Dugas.

Akron is third in the Southern Division with a record of 58-49.
