Fisher Cats Deal Senators 3-1 Setback
|
In a tight game between the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the Harrisburg Senators, pitcher Ming-hoa Sha was terrific on the mound. The New Hampshire left-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. In 6.1 innings, Sha surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Chris Nieves was called on to finish, recording his 24th save.
Nick Stafford, the 26-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Stafford contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put New Hampshire up, 1-0.
"We feel like we're going to win every game right now," said New Hampshire skipper Eric Schwieger.
The first-place Fisher Cats have won 8 straight games.
