Flying Squirrels Hand New Hampshire 1-0 Loss
|
New Hampshire got a big-time effort from pitcher Eddie Martinez, but it wasn't enough to keep the Richmond Flying Squirrels from winning the game, 1-0. Martinez threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Richmond currently is in 5th place in the Northern Division at 50-60.
Adam Ross helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Richmond a 1-0 lead.
Ross told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."
