Erie SeaWolves starter Seth Thornton pitched a strong game against the Richmond Flying Squirrels at The Diamond, leading the SeaWolves to victory, 2-1. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Erie.

Tony Magana came through for Erie when he hit a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike fastball to left-center field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.

"Sometimes, you can be too aggressive," said Richmond manager Fernando Melendez. "You need to let the game come to you."
