Binghamton Sent Home with 5-3 Loss
|
Alvin Janosky was locked in. The right-hander led the Harrisburg Senators to a 5-3 win against the Binghamton Mets at FNB Field. Harrisburg reliever Colt Titus was credited with the win. His record goes to 2-0. David Pico took the loss for Binghamton. The save went to Ricky Whorton, his 14th this season.
Michael Malone had a big 2-run home run for the Senators in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Harrisburg trailing 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from David Pico and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Senators ahead, 4-3.
Malone said afterward that "winning, obviously, is the main objective."
Harrisburg is third in the Southern Division with a record of 65-44.
