Funes goes 3-for-5, Curve Move to 69-42
|
A 4-RBI performance from Danny Funes, who is tied for 4th in the EL with a .829 OPS, helped the Altoona Curve beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 10-2. The Curve saw their record improve to 69-42.
With Altoona leading 2-0 in the top of the sixth, Leo Ramos hit a 2-run single off Richmond pitcher Cesar Chapa. It put the Curve ahead 4-0.
"Good hitting and good pitching is a lethal combination," said Funes.
