Alex Grant had a good game, but he could not keep the Akron RubberDucks from falling, 8-7, to the Trenton Thunder at Arm & Hammer Park. The Akron right fielder went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once in the loss. The Thunder saw their record improve to 47-66.

Trenton got a knockout punch from Mike Null. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"The crowd was boisterous today," said Null.
