A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Reading Fightin Phils and Bowie Baysox.

The Reading Fightin Phils picked up a win at FirstEnergy Stadium, knocking off the Bowie Baysox, 5-3. Starting pitcher Phil Crosswhite was a big reason why. Jeremy Duffy got the save, his 8th in 11 chances.

Marc Paul helped out the Reading cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Crosswhite said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."

With the win, Reading pushed its record to 59-55.
