The Richmond Flying Squirrels defeated the Trenton Thunder, 9-7, at Arm & Hammer Park. Craig Knopp was one of the standouts for Richmond. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 triple, in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. Kyle Norris earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 11-1. The Flying Squirrels' win now puts them at 69-46.

Richmond used the timely hitting of Kevin Berry to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Flying Squirrels on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Knopp.
