Reading Makes It 6 Straight with 7-2 Win
Reading starter Manny Gonzalez pitched well against the Akron RubberDucks at Canal Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-2. The win makes Reading 55-59.

Reading used the clutch hitting of Ryan Cirella to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fightin Phils ahead, 7-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Manny did a nice job," said Fightin Phils manager Daniel Rapp.
