Bowie and Reading duked it out and the Baysox came out victorious.
The Bowie Baysox withstood an impressive performance by Reading center fielder Bryce Jackson to defeat the Fightin Phils, 4-3, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Jackson went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Kyle Sledge closed the door for Bowie, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
Victor Ramos helped out the Bowie cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ramos told the Bowie Gazette.
The Baysox saw their win-loss record go to 44-71. At the same time, the Fightin Phils fell to 60-56.
