Cabrera Dominant in Flying Squirrels Victory
In a low-scoring contest between the Richmond Flying Squirrels and the Hartford Yard Goats, Ossie Cabrera, who is tied for 8th in the EL in innings pitched with 144.2, proved to be the difference. The Richmond right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Flying Squirrels win. Mike Billingsley earned the save, his 12th. The Flying Squirrels raised their record to 54-62.

Cabrera, a native of Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela, was dealing all game. He kept Hartford hitters off-balance, while giving the Flying Squirrels 7 quality innings. Cabrera threw 86 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 7.

"Tough loss," said Hartford manager Jerry Jones. "But we'll learn from it."
