Mets Deal Senators 4-3 Defeat
|
Binghamton pitcher Harry Sommer did his part in helping his team beat the Harrisburg Senators, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Sommer went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 5-1. The save went to Aaron Comer, number 5 for him.
Binghamton grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Jared Rauch delivered a 2-run single, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Mets.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Sommer.
The Mets, at 58-59, sit in 4th place in the Northern Division.
