Flying Squirrels Pick Up 2-0 Road Win Over Reading
|
Richmond Flying Squirrels starter Nick Rittenhouse turned in an exceptional performance against the Reading Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium, resulting in a Richmond win, 2-0. Earning his 11th save for Richmond was Micah Minto. The third-place Flying Squirrels are 70-48.
Alex Vasquez, the 26-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Vasquez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Richmond up, 2-0.
"We did just enough to win," Rittenhouse said.
