Wet weather did not postpone the Binghamton-Reading ballgame.
The Binghamton Mets bested the Reading Fightin Phils, 6-1, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Evan Peterson was one of the standouts. He was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. With the win, the Mets have a record of 68-50.
Binghamton designated hitter Alfredo Lopez delivered a run-scoring double in the top of the third. Overall, he went 3 for 5, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 2.
