Senators Knock Off Mets at FNB Field
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Harrisburg Senators and Binghamton Mets.
Harrisburg rode a decent outing from starter John Short to victory over the Binghamton Mets. The final score was 4-3. In 6 innings, Short surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Mario Morales got credit for the save for Harrisburg. It was his 2nd of the year.
Mike Hoffman hit a 2-run double off Oscar de Castro in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Senators in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Hoffman had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
Hoffman told a Harrisburg Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
At 63-55, the Senators find themselves in second place in the Southern Division.
