The Bowie Baysox topped the Trenton Thunder, 6-2, in Eastern League action at Prince George's Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Bowie pitcher Dave Benedict. The losses continue to pile up for Trenton, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.

Mario Marmol had a big bases-clearing triple for the Baysox in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Bowie leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Quincy Cunningham and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Baysox ahead, 4-0.

"The tide will turn," said losing manager Pat Gilman. "We just need to keep our chins up."
