Thunder Lose as SeaWolves Stage Late Rally
|
Erie SeaWolves starter Kenneth Jones pitched a strong game against the Trenton Thunder at Arm & Hammer Park, leading the SeaWolves to victory, 5-4. Getting the save was Nate Carter, his 3rd. With the win over Trenton, the SeaWolves improved to 62-56.
Erie used the timely hitting of Brent Lewis to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the SeaWolves on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Lewis.
