Victory Over Thunder Takes Richmond to 7-3
The Richmond Flying Squirrels topped the Trenton Thunder, 5-3, in Eastern League action at The Diamond. The game was highlighted by the performance of Richmond pitcher Mario Correa. Correa yielded 3 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 1-0. Richmond is now 7-3.

David Carroll Jr. hit a 2-run home run off Nick Miller in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Flying Squirrels ahead, 5-3. In addition to the homer, Carroll Jr. had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
