Flying Squirrels Lose Contest, 9-5
Ryan Silva was instrumental in his team's 9-5 triumph over the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The left fielder went 2-3 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Altoona Curve. J.R. Purcell picked up the win in relief for Altoona, while Jose Fabian took the loss. Ian Roth got the save, his 4th in 5 chances.

Chris Buckingham, the Altoona third baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 2-0, Curve. For the game, Buckingham went 1-2 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Silva.

The setback makes Richmond 54-65.
