Mets Deal RubberDucks 5-3 Setback
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Binghamton shortstop Tommy Gallant was a significant contributor in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Akron RubberDucks. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Binghamton. Mike Wade picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-7. He struck out 4 in 7 innings.
Early in the game, Gallant had a 2-run home run for Binghamton. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Mets on top, 2-0.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Akron manager Chris Knowlton. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
With the win, Binghamton goes to 59-61, while the RubberDucks fall to 75-45.
