Bowie pitcher Brandon Boyd had a large part in his team subduing the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The Baysox lead the Southern Division by 5½ games.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Mike Casey was at the plate when Bowie scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Baysox to go in front, 3-2.

"I really like what we did out there today," Casey said after the game.
