Thunder Lose, 4-1, as SeaWolves Rally
Mike DeRieux was locked in. The right-hander led the Erie SeaWolves to a 4-1 win against the Trenton Thunder at Arm & Hammer Park. The SeaWolves, at 49-70, sit in last place in the Southern Division.

Erie used the timely hitting of Alex Mata to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the SeaWolves on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Mike was cooking with gas," said Erie manager Frank Hennessy.
