SeaWolves Get Clutch Win, 10-9
The Erie SeaWolves battled the Reading Fightin Phils into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The SeaWolves won it, finally, 10-9, in 10 innings. In the game, Erie center fielder Steve Bruno was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs. Pat Blair picked up the win in relief. Tom Fetherolf took the loss for Reading. The win puts Erie at 68-52 this season.

The SeaWolves relied on shortstop Steve Culley for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"We're in for a photo finish, I think," said Bruno. "Time to play our best ball."
