The Erie SeaWolves defeated the Reading Fightin Phils, 4-2, in Eastern League action at Jerry Uht Park. Erie pitcher Sean Dale had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Dale, now 9-8. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9. Danny Singleton collected save number 4.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Danny Singleton didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Reading trailing 4-2, Singleton retired Marc Paul to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Singleton, with a wink.
