Riding the 3-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Brett Hicks, the Binghamton Mets defeated the Hartford Yard Goats, 3-1. Alberto Chavez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 20 save opportunities. The victory gives the Mets a record of 62-59.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Hicks hit a solo home run off Ramon Mejia. It propelled the Mets into the lead, 1-0.

Binghamton manager Mike Keeney commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
