The Portland Sea Dogs had to weather a strong performance from Akron pitcher Nate Brager before claiming a 3-2 win in 11 innings. Brager went 9 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner was Portland reliever Adam Jones, now 1-0. The loser was Luis Lopez. Today's win puts Portland at 52-68, while Akron falls to 57-64.

Portland used the timely hitting of Victor Sena to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Sea Dogs on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"The Sea Dogs earned it," said Akron manager Ted Allen. "Hats off to them."
