RubberDucks Deal Fightin Phils 5-1 Defeat
The Akron RubberDucks topped the Reading Fightin Phils, 5-1, in Eastern League action at FirstEnergy Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Akron pitcher Alex Espinal. Espinal got the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed 12 hits and walked 1 over 8.1 innings. Espinal allowed 1 run. The win puts Akron at 76-47 this season.

The RubberDucks got a big hit from designated hitter Jake Wahlstrom. In the top of the fifth, Wahlstrom pounded a run-scoring triple to right. His 6th triple of the season put the RubberDucks ahead, 3-0.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Wahlstrom said.
