Yard Goats Win with Late Heroics
The Hartford Yard Goats found a way to sneak past the Altoona Curve, 4-3, in 10 innings. Hartford pitcher Nick Puckett, for one, had a standout performance. The victory gives Hartford a record of 71-52.

The Yard Goats got a clutch hit from third baseman David Pugmire. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the Yard Goats.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," Puckett said in postgame remarks. "Soon enough, the finish line will be in sight."
