Richmond rode a fine outing from starter Zach Chapman to victory over the Binghamton Mets at NYSEG Stadium. The final score was 4-2. The Flying Squirrels saw their win-loss record go to 74-51. At the same time, the Mets fell to 62-63.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Nawaf Shafeeq? The Richmond second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Flying Squirrels on top, 1-0. For the game, Shafeeq had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"Good win," said Chapman. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
