In a tight contest between the Reading Fightin Phils and the Richmond Flying Squirrels, Manny Gonzalez was the determining factor. The Reading right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. The save went to Mike Ruiz, number 15 for him. After today's action, Reading sits at 61-63; Richmond slips to 57-68.

Reading took the lead, 3-2, on Ricky Aguilera's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Richmond pitcher Ossie Cabrera in the bottom of the seventh.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Richmond manager Fernando Melendez.
