Yard Goats Rally For 3-1 Win
In a tight affair between the Hartford Yard Goats and the Altoona Curve, pitcher Nick Guerrero was in the zone. The Hartford right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-1. Hartford reliever Bras Canavarro picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Antonio Cruz was saddled with the loss. Jesus Camarillo earned the save for Hartford, his 2nd.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Ron Tidwell came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Altoona pitcher Antonio Cruz, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Hartford on top, 2-1.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Guerrero. "And vice-versa."

The 'W' lifts Hartford's record to 73-52.
