Binghamton pitcher David Pico gave the RubberDucks all they could handle, but in the end, Akron left NYSEG Stadium with a win, 1-0. Pico allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 8.1 innings. Akron pitcher Ivan Bustamante got the win. He's now 6-5. David Pico was tagged with the loss. Matt Woods locked down his 3rd save.

The RubberDucks got a big at-bat from first baseman Mike Mordaunt. For the game, Mordaunt went 1 for 3 with a home run. In the top of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Akron a 1-0 lead.

"We did just enough to win," Mordaunt said.

The RubberDucks raised their record to 54-71.
